MRC offers retirement homes and long-term care facilities a Residence Emergency-Call System that protects residents and allows staff to better respond and manage resources in emergency situations.
• This modular system provides emergency-call solutions for residences that service autonomous, semi autonomous, special needs residents and as an aid for staff to respond quickly to emergencies. Always active and continuously running, MRC’s Emergency Call Monitor system assigns each resident with a unique tag that allows for immediate identification of the resident within their room or apartment and each Emergency Pull identifies a pre-defined location in an emergency call-for-help:
• MRC’s Emergency-Call is an all inclusive system that provides a continuous monitoring of each resident room. Emergency calls are handled immediately with the in-room controller called the Personal Alert Controller, (PAC), which transmits emergency calls to the designated administration system using MRC’s Emergency-Call Monitor (EAM) server software.
• Calls are then automatically recorded and immediately relayed to the designated staff members (attendants, management…). Staff and management can receive emergency calls several ways; directly on a designated computer, pager, phone call, cell phone or on a PDA.
• Once a call is placed and received by the attendant he or she can respond immediately to the emergency. Each resident room has an “Attendant Acknowledgement” tag which allows the staff member to send an acknowledgement that they are there responding to the emergency. An audit trail of each event is kept in the system for call and response tracking.
·• MRC’s Emergency-Call includes the basic elements of MRC’s ATD (resident profile software), a specific resident profile can be accessed as an emergency aid in providing critical information to the attendants and staff.
